WINE(S)
We are only offering a dry red wine at this time but have aspirations of releasing a Rose', whites, and even a sparkling option in the future.
2023 Petite Pearl is a dry red wine. Smooth, well-balanced with hints of blackberry, plum, vanilla and warm spice. It spent a year in oak barrels.
Rich in flavor yet light and approachable, best served room temperature.
LABEL EXPLANATION:
Why the funny looking "e" with the ring above it you might ask. In the science world, there is a unit of measure called an Angstrom, and its symbol looks like this: Å. First, I hope you can easily see the similarity in our last name. Secondly, Engstrom Vineyards being as small as it is, we felt it was fitting because: 1 Å= 10^-10 meters (one hundred millionth of a centimeter), a very small number! In addition to that, it was named after a Swedish physicist Anders Jonas Ångström, which is a nod to part of our ancestry coming from Sweden.
Why the compositional notebook pattern you may ask? Taking good notes of the many experimental 5 gallon carboy batches of wine I made over the years has helped improve the wine. The first entry from 2009 where I attempted to make wine using Edelweiss from Kristin's uncles vineyard. Let's just say it was nearly undrinkable, and that was not due to the quality of the grapes!
